About you:

In your new role you will…

  • Demonstrate high level ability to deliver and coordinate patient focussed care utilising contemporary knowledge and recent clinical experience for the management of people incarcerated within Lotus Glen Correctional Centre who have co-occurring criminal justice and mental health issues.
  • Demonstrated high level ability to work autonomously and provide leadership in a multidisciplinary team, within a consultation and liaison model.
  • Demonstrated high level ability to provide general clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors regarding service delivery and improvement opportunities.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will deliver a high-level specialist mental health service, management advice, training, education and supervision with regards to those consumers with mental health issues incarcerated at the Lotus Glen Correctional Centre.

About your role:

  • Provide high level specialist mental health services in collaboration with the Team Leader, Cluster Manager and Allied Health Director, clinical and non-clinical staff to facilitate the provision of quality evidence-based community mental health services for those consumers with mental health issues incarcerated at the Lotus Glen Correctional Centre.
  • Deliver high level clinical services within a multidisciplinary team in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards for consumers incarcerated at the Lotus Glen Correctional Centre.
  • Develop and or review management and monitoring plans of offenders with mental health issues who are incarcerated at the Lotus Glen Correctional Centre and who are transitioning back into the community.
  • Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes for Prison Mental Health Services, and actively participate in initiating, developing and implementing quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of services.
