What will you do?Perform laboratory experiments to develop, assess or transfer methods/procedures, specifically, protein purification and biochemical analysis.Help develop and build the foundation of new cell or protein based bioassays by providing technical and scientific support.Responsible for performing in-depth data analysis and interpretation.Communicate findings and discuss relevance of your data to a multi-discipline team consisting of upstream and downstream process development scientists, quality control, quality assurance, process engineers and our customers.How will you get here?EducationBachelor, Master, or PhD in Biochemistry, Immunology, physiology, or related fieldExperience Bachelor's degree with 5 years of proven experience related to the job description; Master's degree with 3 years; PhD with practical scientific experience Knowledge and expertise in performing membrane-bound or soluble protein purification using HPLC; preferable experience using AKTA system Experience handling and maintaining mammalian cell culture with a proven understanding of cell and molecular biology Technical experience with antibody-antigen detection test, including ELISA, affinity, and bead-based immunoassay. Good understanding of GLP and GMP guidelines for assay developmentKnowledge, Skills, Abilities Passion for learning and teaching peers the analytical methods required for successful process development!
