Job Description

• Serve as infection control advisor to all levels of Healthcare team. Provide evidence based infection control practices. Identify and implement evidence based infection control measures and strategies that restrain cost and use resources effectively. Utilize epidemiological and scientific evidence in evaluating and developing infection control. Identify infection control issues in relation to patient care product evaluation risk management.
• Promote and implement infection control guidelines/standards that improve patient outcome and reduce Healthcare associated infection. Prepare and maintain all aspects of automated surveillance data collection and distribution confidentiality.
• Develop and implement infection control strategies in conjunction with a multidisciplinary teams that is effective and improve patient outcomes. Establish research projects to reduce healthcare associated infection and promote quality Healthcare and verify hypothesis.
• Provide infection control reports and surveillance monitoring. Participate in the antibiotic stewardship program auditing and summarizing report data analysis; as well as product evaluation base on material safety data sheet and the appropriate international recommendation in chemical use, personal protective equipment, and evaluate the product base on its need and consider the cost effect of the product.
• Develop an effective communication of infection control information from patient care areas. Ensure the implementation of infection control standards that improves patient outcome by reducing risk of Healthcare associated infection. Ensure that policy and procedure product selection and all other aspects of infection control program are strictly followed.
• Promote and facilitate educational staff development programs. Facilitate education of patients’ and their visitors’ hygienic and community health measures.
• Perform other job related duties.

Work Experience | NASCDP - Nursing -Allied Health Saudi Career development (Training program) 

Knowledge of microbiological and epidemiological principles isolation precautions research methodology – Essential

Registration with Saudi Commission for Health Specialties – Essential

Certification in Infection Control – Preferred

Computer | Level II – Essential

English Language | Level I – Essential

Education
