The Role: Our client has an opportunity for an experienced Staff Specialist/Senior Staff Specialist to provide neurology specialist services to their health district. Your clinical expertise will be matched by your commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and a passion for continued self-education and development.
The Location: Our client is situated on one of Australia’s most beautiful coastal locations with idyllic tropical islands on your door step and a relaxed way of life. This is a large regional city with a local population of over 60,000 and a regional population of over 140,000. The local area has a well developed infrastructure and everything you would need and expect from a well developed regional city including great private schools, shopping, restaurants and the beautiful natural tropical surrounds. The Hospital: The hospital has recently enjoyed a major $408 Million overhaul and expansion doubling the number of beds to over 300 and increasing the size by 40,000m2 including a new Emergency Department. This is now a state of the art fully modern hospital and one of Australia’s largest regional healthcare facilities.
The hospital is also accredited for training with a number of the colleges and provides the following specialist services to the local community: ED, O&G, Paeds, Orthopaedics, Anaesthetics, ICU, Coronary care, Psychiatry, Aged Care, Renal Medicine, ENT, Ophthalmology, Palliative Care and Day Surgery.
The Requirements: To apply you must either be:
Hold or be eligible for registration with AHPRA
Possess at least 12 months recent experience in Internal /General Medicine
On RACP training program
Hold or eligible for the FRACP
IMG's eligible for Competent Authority Pathway - UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ
IMG's with RACP interview date
IMG's assessed by RACP and found to be substantially comparable.
