The Position
Brilliant opportunity for a Staff Specialist Anaesthetist at one of our Queensland hospitals

The Hospital

This is 260 bed major regional hospital. Having state of the art facilities the hospital has been undergoing a number of redevelopment projects at a cost of $324 million the last of which are due to be completed later this year. The projects have included the construction of a regional cancer centre, a new Emergency Department, Rehabilitation Unit, Maternity and Paediatrics Unit, Dialysis Unit, and a Learning and Development Centre, together with the consolidation of a number of outlying services into the main Hospital complex.

The Location
The hospital is located on an idyllic part of the Queensland coast. With over 300 days of sunshine each year there is an abundance of outdoor activities. Popular attractions include Riverbank Parklands, a riverfront parkland attraction, the coastal strip and large neighbouring islands, the vast majority of which is national park.


The Requirements
One or more of the following:
  • Hold or be eligible for Specialist Registration with AHPRA
  • At least 12 months recent experience at a Consultant Anaesthetist level
  • Hold or soon to hold Fellowship with ANZCA (FANZCA)
  • All IMG's who are ready to submit their specialist assessment to ANZCA OR have already been assessed by ANZCA and found to be partially or substantially comparable.
