The Position We have a terrific opportunity to join a supportive team in a high performing Emergency Department, in a capital city.
The Hospital This is a major clinical teaching and research centre working closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. The hospital provides services to a population of about 240,000 people and has 550 physical beds, including 460 acute overnight and 90 day beds. The Emergency Department provides care for 70 000 patients annually. Approximately 25% of the case load is paediatric. It also runs a 20 bed Emergency Medical Unit.

The Requirements One or more of the following:
Possess at least 12 months recent experience in Emergency Medicine
Hold or be eligible for registration with AHPRA
Eligible for either the Standard pathway, Competent Authority, Short Term Training Pathway or Specialist Pathway.
All IMG's who have completed AMC MCQ 1 and eligible for the Standard Pathway.
Those IMG's who are working in the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ and eligible for the Competent Authority Pathway.
IMG's who are either a Specialist in the home country or within a year of obtaining their Specialist qualification and eligible for the Short Term Training Pathway.
IMG's who have lodged their Specialist Assessment Application with ACEM, awaiting their ACEM interview, or who have been assessed by ACEM and found to be partially or substantially comparable.
