The Position Our client is looking for an experienced consultant to lead the Emergency Department as Clinical Director. The candidate must possess strong motivation and extensive experience in Emergency Medicine. The position demands exceptional strategic leadership and guidance, with a focus on optimizing resource utilization, integrating services within the hospital, and achieving the highest standards of service delivery in compliance with hospital policy directions, service standards, and financial targets.
This is a fixed term, full time 3 year contract, working 76 hrs per FN. The total package is very generous, with ongoing annual allowances, as well as initial accommodation and relocation support.
The Hospital Servicing a population of approximately 116,000, the service has 2 major sites located approximately 50km apart.The Emergency Departments (ED) handle an estimated 30,000 patient visits annually, catering to a diverse patient population. One site serves as the regional trauma centre and has an admission rate of 25%, while the other is a sub-acute hospital offering limited services and a 15% admission rate.
The ED has received accreditation from the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine for 24 months of training, and an application for year 4 training is currently under review.

The Requirements One or more of the following:
Hold or be eligible for registration with AHPRA
Hold or eligible for FACEM
Possess at least 12 months recent experience in Emergency Medicine at a Consultant Level, ideally with Head of Department/ Clinical Director experience
IMG's who are about to lodge their Specialist Assessment Application with ACEM, or awaiting their ACEM interview, or who have been assessed by ACEM and found to be partially or substantially comparable.
