The Position: We have an exciting full-time opportunity for an Emergency Medicine Consultant to join our client's team. As a valued member of the team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional emergency medical care.
The Location: Situated in the captivating Midwest of WA, this town holds the distinction of being the largest settlement north of Perth and is renowned as one of the most picturesque coastal centers in Western Australia. The town also offers a wide array of recreational activities, shopping destinations, and educational facilities.
The Hospital: The Emergency Department (ED) is a dynamic regional unit that handles approximately 40,000 patient presentations each year. Our case mix is diverse, encompassing a substantial number of high acuity and trauma cases, as well as interhospital transfers from across the MidWest Region.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering direct patient care, coordinating patient transfers and retrievals, fostering the delivery of high-quality care and patient safety within the ED, and providing leadership, mentorship, and education to our team of Senior Medical Practitioners, registrars, and RMOs. There are also opportunities available for various clinical-support portfolios.
The Requirements One or more of the following:
Hold or be eligible for registration with AHPRA
Hold or eligible for FACEM
Possess at least 12 months recent experience in Emergency Medicine at a Consultant Level.
ACEM trainee soon to obtain FACEM
IMG's who are about to lodge their Specialist Assessment Application with ACEM, or awaiting their ACEM interview, or who have been assessed by ACEM and found to be partially or substantially comparable.
