The Role: A terrific opportunity for an experienced ED Consultant/ VMO on a Permanent Full Time basis. You will be working in a fantastic multidisciplinary team comprised of a friendly, dynamic and hands-on group of FACEMs who between them have a broad spectrum of interests in Emergency Medicine including toxicology, ultrasound, simulation, advanced airway management and education.
The Location: The heart of NSW's Western Plains district. Either a 1 hour flight or 5 hr drive NW of Sydney, it is a thriving progressive community with a local population of over 35,000. The city boasts a zoo, beautiful parks and gardens, and with fantastic local cafes and restaurants, everyone's tastes are catered for.
The Facility: The facility is a 160 bed Tertiary Teaching hospital offering a full suite of services. The health service provides critical care, specialist medical inpatient and outpatient services, surgery, mental health and other specialised allied health and medical outreach services to a population of over 150,000 people.
The Requirements One or more of the following:
Hold or be eligible for registration with AHPRA
Hold or eligible for FACEM
Possess at least 12 months recent experience in Emergency Medicine at a Consultant Level.
ACEM trainee soon to obtain FACEM
IMG's who are about to lodge their Specialist Assessment Application with ACEM, or awaiting their ACEM interview, or who have been assessed by ACEM and found to be partially or substantially comparable.
