Our client in Tasmania has a great opportunity for Staff Specialists to join its Department of Geriatric Medicine on a Permanent Full Time basis. In addition to meeting the service needs of the local community, you will also have the chance to be actively involved in clinical redesign to improve the older person's experience of our organisation and promote innovation in Geriatric Care.

The Facility This is a major clinical teaching and research centre working closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. The hospital provides services to a population of about 240,000 people and has 550 physical beds, including 460 acute overnight and 90 day beds. The Emergency Department provides care for 70 000 patients annually. Approximately 25% of the case load is paediatric. It also runs a 20 bed Emergency Medical Unit.
The Requirements To apply you must be one or more of the folllowing:
Hold or be eligible for registration with AHPRA
Possess at least 12 months recent Geriatric Medicine experience
On RACP training program
Hold or eligible for the FRACP
IMG's eligible for Competent Authority Pathway - UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ
IMG's with RACP interview date
IMG's assessed by RACP and found to be substantially comparable.
