The Position
Our client is looking for an Orthopaedic Registrar to join the team on a full time basis. This is an Unaccredited position where you will deliver high quality care to Orthopaedic patients, develop a range of skills and expertise across the full spectrum of patient presentations and conditions. You will provide support to the Orthopaedic Surgeon as well as junior medical staff.

The Location
Located just under 2 hours from Melbourne this is one of the beautiful and well developed regional cities in Australia with vibrant arts hub and flourishing food and wine scene set against its rich history, grand architecture and magnificent gardens. Sample stunning contemporary cuisine in historic buildings, admire modern art in venues new and old, and explore the city's fascinating history at museums, gardens and galleries.

The Facility
With more than 3500 staff and covering an area a quarter the size of Victoria, the hospital has over 700 beds which treats over 45,000 in-patients, attends to 65,000 emergency cases and delivers approximately 1600 babies each year. In addition we have a 20 bed intensive care unit, an 80-bed integrated psychiatry facility and 11 operating theatres where almost 13,000 surgical procedures are performed annually.


The Requirements
To apply one or more of the following may apply:
  • Hold or be eligible for registration with AHPRA
  • IMG's eligible for Competent Authority Pathway - UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ
  • IMG's assessed by RACS and found to be either partially or substantially comparable.
  • At least 12 months recent experience in Orthopaedic Surgery at a Registrar level minimum
