The Position
Our client is looking for a Palliative Care Consultant to join the team on a full time basis.

The Role

You will provide expertise and experience in clinical management and treatment of palliative care patients.  The department is comprised of specialist led inpatient consult liason services, as well as a community palliative care nursing led services providing support to the greater region. There is potential of an outpatient clinic. You can expect a diverse range of presentations, good prospects for establish private practice, and career acceleration with possibility of a leadership role, academic opportunities etc. This role presents an exciting opportunity for you to drive the development of services throughout the region.

The Hospital
A 180 bed regional hospital which has undergone considerable redevelopment. Servicing a community of over 100,000 people across 4000km2. Support is available from a nearby Tertiary Centre.

The Location
This is a well known region, 3 hrs north of Sydney, with pristine beaches, national parks, and waterwats to explore. The area has great infrastructure with a range of sporting facilities, performing arts and entertainment options, alongside cafes and restaurants to satisfy you every craving.

The Requirements
To apply you must either be:
  • Registered with AHPRA and have at least 12 months recent clinical experience
  • Specialist Medical Practitioner (FRACP) with extensive experience in Palliative Medicine
  • a Fellow of the Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (AChPM)
  • IMG's eligible for Competent Authority Pathway - UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ
