We are seeking a dedicated Family Practitioner to join our diagnostic and treatment center in the vibrant community of Fraser Lake, BC. This position offers a unique opportunity for new-to-practice grads looking to transition seamlessly into a supportive and collaborative, thriving medical practice. Enjoy the flexibility to adjust your Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) or portion thereof based on your professional preferences and workload.

Physicians in Fraser Lake provide comprehensive primary care services to their patients in conjunction with their multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care is provided. The team also provides daytime ER care 1-2 times/week depending on staffing levels.

There is opportunity for outreach work connecting with and serving the health care needs of our Indigenous communities, fostering culturally competent healthcare practices to ensure inclusive and respectful patient care.

Fraser Lake Community Health Center:

Fraser Lake Community Health Center is a diagnostic and treatment centre with no in-patient or overnight beds. The Health Centre is open Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The Health Centre serves the population of Fraser Lake, Fort Fraser, Endako and the Nadleh and Stellat’en First Nations communities. The Services at Fraser Lake Community Health Center include:
• Four outpatient bays
• Emergency stabilization and transfer
• Diagnostic Imaging
• Laboratory
• Community Palliative Care Support

Other facility services include:
• Primary Care Nursing
• Mental Health and Substance Use
• Dietitian
• Occupational Therapy
• BC Ambulance
• Outreach clinics to surrounding communities
