  • Provide timely, evidenced based, person centredtherapy services to children and adults with a disability within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Manage a mixed caseload with complex and varied needs,working with customers of all ages, their families and carers to identify strengths, skills and goals.
  • Use appropriate assessment tools and methods to assess strengths and areas of development, in order to identify suitable intervention strategies.
  • Be able to deliver therapy in a variety of environments, e.g. centre based, schools/preschools, group homes, homes and via telehealth.
  • Contribute proactively to the ongoing development of professional knowledge and skills within the Speech Pathology profession.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology with SPA registration
  • Knowledge of strengths-based practice, as well as family and person centred approaches.
    Experience delivering evidence based therapy to a paediatric, adolescent and/or adult caseload.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload and administrative responsibilities in an autonomous, efficient and effective manner.
  • An understanding of the NDIS framework and working within a fee for service model is desired.
  • Be able to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills – written, oral and listening.
  • NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • NSW Working with Children Check(or willingness to obtain)
  • Current First Aid Certificate (including CPR) or willingness to obtain.
  • Current Driver’s License with access to own vehicle (reimbursement for KM’s is available)
  • Proof of Working Rights in Australia - Passport or Australian Birth Certificate.
  • Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Current First Aid & CPR are desired –can be obtained/renewed after you commence.

Assessments and therapy are conducted in a family centred way to enable the customer to live as independently as possible at home, in education or work and in the community.
