About the role

It is the purpose of this role to provide general administrative support as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and secretarial support to the Team Manager, including responding to the 1300MHCALL incoming access telephone line as the first point of contact for callers. This position is also responsible for ensuring accurate statistical database maintenance and assisting in the administration requirements in the coordination of clinical reviews and processing of referrals. This position also oversees day to day building and asset maintenance and procurement for the facility.

About you

You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge, and experience.  Within the context of the responsibilities described above under Key Accountabilities, the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to provide a high level of administrative support within a clinical environment and work as a positive member within a multi disciplinary team.
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual with limited supervision to ensure deadlines and outcome targets are met.
  • High level professional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to consult and negotiate with clients and staff at all levels.
  • Proficiency or ability to rapidly acquire skills in the use of Clinical Information Systems utilised for patient appointment/care purpose.
  • Advanced level of computerised systems such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, HBCIS, Practix, ESM, CIMHA. iEMR,
  • Ability to actively participate in a working environment support contemporary human resource practices including workplace health and safety, employment equity and anti-discrimination and a clear understanding of and the requirement to abide by the Code of Conduct.
  • Ability to train other staff members.
  • Ability to work within a changing environment and adapt to changes whilst ensuring business needs continue to be met.
