About the role:
To provide an efficient booking service to Rockhampton Hospital operating suites with a focus on elective surgery waitlist management. This includes:
- Complete and maintain accurate elective surgery waiting lists by ensuring details are entered on the management system in a timely manner, including any changes notified by the patient, referring Practitioner, Director of speciality unit, accountable Medical Officer, or their Delegated Officer.
- Schedule and notify patients of planned admission dates, postponements, delays, cancellations in accordance with Elective Surgery Policy.
- Address patient enquires and provide relevant information, referring to the Elective Surgery Coordinator where appropriate, and making requested changes to waiting list details as required.
- Daily data entry of theatre bookings and other relevant data input.
- Preparation and distribution of theatre lists to clinical areas and relevant staff.
About you:
To be successful in this role you must have:
- High level keyboard, clerical, and administrative skills in terms of speed and accuracy, with attention to detail in undertaking all tasks.
- The ability to quickly acquire the ability to use ORMIS and HBCIS, in particularly Elective Admissions Management.
- The ability to acquire knowledge, of the Queensland Health Elective Surgery Services Implementation Standard and Elective Surgery Services Policy.
- Demonstrated ability in the continual review and evaluation of administrative practices and processes to ensure the delivery of a high-quality service in a changing environment.

Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $94,810 p.a. is comprised of:
- A hourly rate between $37.68 - $41.90 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
