Tell me more...Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Executive Director of Strategy, and Investment (EDSI), is a member of the Executive Leadership team. The EDSI is a critical influence within the organisation, leading the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service (TCHHS) service planning and major investment planning.  A comprehensive transformation program will shape TCHHS strategic direction with a focus on innovation and process improvement for the health service to meet current, emerging, and future challenges and ensure service and financial sustainability.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated executive level strategic leadership and the ability to provide authoritative, professional and strategic advice within an executive leadership team to support the delivery of safe, person centred services in line with the TCHHS strategic plan and TCHHS Service Level Agreement.
  • Experience working in rural and remote environments with a particular emphasis on experience working with major projects, capital and asset management change.
  • Ability to understand both strategic and contemporary operational frameworks, models and processes and use this understanding to lead and implement both incremental and transformational change and redesign programs to achieve positive business improvement and service outcomes.
  • Demonstrated high level strategic, managerial knowledge skills and expertise to manage major complex projects, planning, managing resources, budget preparation and management, project management and performance feedback and management.

Requirements for the role:

  • Demonstrated executive level communication, negotiation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills, including the proven experience in developing high level strategies for communicating and consulting with Government, stakeholders, professional bodies, consultants, contractors, and the community.
