Tell me more...The purpose of the Corporate Services Officer role is to provide multi skilled professional financial services to the TCHHS Weipa/Cooktown/Thursday Island Facility Hub including but not limited to accurate and timely financial transaction processing and cost centre maintenance services.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge of financial accounting activities, monitoring and reporting and utilising financial systems and other reporting packages including Microsoft Excel. Including demonstrated experience in contributing to the preparation of annual financial statements.
  • Experience in developing financial budgets within a complex organisation while ensuring an appropriate level of consultation with cost centre management is performed to ensure accountabilities are agreed and understood.
  • Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills, relates well to people at all levels of a multidisciplinary workforce, uses sound judgement on sensitive and confidential issues, builds constructive and effective relationships, and networks with all stakeholders.

Requirements for the role:

  • Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications required for this role, possession of a tertiary qualification in accountancy/commerce or business management is highly desirable.
