Professional and personal qualities TCHHS are looking for;

  • Ability to work at an advanced level with minimal supervision within a multidisciplinary team for Midwifery Navigation and Maternal and Child Health Services, caring for women and families from remote communities from Cape York.
  • Ability to deliver primary maternal health care programs and health promotion in response to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and their health and families.
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills, including community and client liaison, negotiation and networking with groups and organisations.

Requirements for the role:

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care.
  • Under S25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
