About the role

  • Provide quality financial, business and operational support service to Cost Centre Managers and the Business Manager including provision of accurate and timely information, the provision of financial reports, investigations of data and maintenance of cost centre structures. The role is to be performed in a manner that promotes the provision of quality and timely financial information and advice to the Metro North Hospital and Health Service.

  • Knowledge or the ability to acquire knowledge with accounting and budgeting concepts, cost centre management at an organisational level, including financial management procedures and requirements.
  • Sound knowledge of financial information systems and contemporary word processing and spreadsheet applications including S4HANA, DSS, J-Man and Excel.
  • Well-developed negotiation, consultation, communication, and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on the ability to liaise with internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as a member of a team within a service environment, and proven ability to deliver outcomes within allocated timeframes.
  • Ability to actively participate in a working environment supporting quality and contemporary human resource management practices including Workplace Health and Safety, Equal Opportunity, Anti-Discrimination and the Code of Conduct.
