 Tell me more...lead and progress strategic and operational MHAODS program development and integration within the health system in collaboration with external agencies and communities including developing models of care to meet community, consumer and workforce requirements by improving linkages and partnerships with other sectors and services for population groups with multiple and complex needs.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Provide expert clinical advice and support to team leader and clinicians (multidisciplinary) on activities which will continually improve mental health clinical practice and service delivery systems according to best practice, state and national frameworks and standards.
  • Initiate community and consumer involvement strategies and establish and maintain appropriate liaison with government and non-government agencies and with other relevant community members.
  • Develop and maintain a strong program management team to support the delivery of those services for which the Director is responsible which demonstrates a commitment to excellence in service provision and attains measurable service delivery outcomes.
  • Provide a coordinated system of care through collaborating with, and building the skills and capacity of, other sectors to work with this client group initiating change management, quality improvement, risk management and communication strategies informed by collation of baseline service capacity, quality and delivery data and developing a MHAODS service plan in consultation with key stakeholders.

Requirements for the role:

  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and/or registration with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/ manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties. Current registration or eligibility to register as a nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia / Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority (AHPRA) is mandatory.
  • Travel across the TCHHS will be a requirement of this position in commercial and/or light aircraft and 4WD vehicles.
  • It is a mandatory condition of employment in this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment: measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), pertussis (whooping cough) hepatitis B.
