About the role

  • Lead the engagement and coordination of key stakeholders in the delivery of the Metro North Workforce Reform Roadmap.
  • Facilitate key clinical and non-clinical input into the design and implementation of new and evolving healthcare roles that are responsive to the health care needs of our communities.
  • Establish a stakeholder and communication framework that supports the progression of workforce reform activities.
  • Draw upon workforce data to inform workforce projections, associated risks and priorities for investment.
  • Provide evidence-based reports to Metro North Health Service Board of Management and Senior Executive on developments, innovations, opportunities, risks and risk mitigations, and advise on any strategic or operational issues relating to the delivery of the roadmap.
  • Contribute to change management actions lead by Clinical Services to ensure smooth transitions during workforce restructuring and reform.
  • Represents the interests of Metro North Health in workforce reform committees and working groups across the Department and sector, ensuring leadership and collaborative contribution to any cross-agency actions as well as alignment to the Queensland Health Workforce Strategy for Queensland 2032.
  • Maintain focus and provide guidance on Metro North Health's strategies and priorities and the workforce legislative and policy frameworks ensuring the Workforce Reform Roadmap is fully aligned.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • A successful and proven record as a senior leader and thought leader of a similar portfolio in a large, complex organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, lead and implement workforce strategies, programs, policies and operational practices to successfully support the strategic objectives of an organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing change, transformation and/or business improvement and the delivery of associated initiatives across a large and complex organisation.
  • Effective organisational and project management skills.
  • Effective expertise in building and maintaining stakeholder engagement and consultation.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills that enable effective interaction with a wide range of people from a variety of backgrounds, professions and experiences.
