About the Role

  • Actively participate in a peer or executive lead working environment, working groups, meetings procurement evaluation panels, strategic and operation planning, plant maintenance strategies, and undertake all activities in line with Best Practice, ICARE2 Values and Code of Conduct, remaining ethical, impartial, and professional at all times, supporting quality human resource management practices, including Performance Appraisal and Development, Workplace Health and Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity and Anti-discrimination as applied in the workplace with a commitment to zero harm.
  • Ongoing collaboration, with the Maintenance Manager, Trade Supervisors and other facility-based stakeholders to ensure evidence-based advice is provided on facility assets, including condition of assets, maintenance of assets and new assets, ensuring work is undertaken in accordance with relevant standards and operating budget and with minimal disruption to staff and patients.
  • Perform basic contract management including planning, negotiation and coordination of external contracting companies, supervision for goods and services contracts within the work group and development of technical specifications for contracts and requests for quote.
  • Monitor and review systems and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes in accordance with the work area, business unit and Hospital and Health service goals.
