About you: 

You have demonstrated advanced knowledge, or ability to rapidly acquire comprehensive interpretation of Queensland Health associated legislation frameworks, policies and procedures across Human Resources, Workplace Health and Safety, Payroll, Recruitment and Training streams, financial management practices within the public-sector environment. You have the ability to evaluate organisation work practices to manage service improvements in a complex health service delivery setting through stage of developments, coordination, implementation, and evaluation and you are confident with your problem solving skills, including the ability to proactively analyse situations and identify and successfully implement practical and innovative strategic and operational solutions.

Your opportunity: 

To coordinate, develop and deliver business change initiatives to support strategic policy including the development of legislative compliant procedures and documentation to support sustainable processes for improved workflow, delivery of service and efficiencies within the directorate.

Your role: 

  • Maintain expert knowledge to enable you to impart expert advice to staff and clients on technical and operational issues of the service including the interpretation of relevant policy, legislation, business rules, and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate and re-design initiatives using project management methodologies to; engage key stakeholders; ensure compliance with all relevant standards, policies, and legislation; identify needs for improvement; minimise exposure to costly inefficiencies and implement changes in accordance with organisational and business goals.
  • Proactively identify external trends and developments in practice by delivering well researched, high-level policy matters for consideration of relevance and benefits to CHHHS.
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings with senior management groups and maintain effective communication channels with various stakeholders and key clients including the leading of team members with guidance and advice to deliver best practice as required.
  • Contribute to business services development by initiating and supporting continuous improvements.
