About you:

In your new role you will…

  • Demonstrate high level knowledge of activity-based funding systems and associated legislative frameworks, policies and financial management practices within the health sector environment and the ability to apply such knowledge.
  • Possess well-developed project management skills, including the ability to define project tasks, set priorities and coordinate activities effectively, to meet competing deadlines with a track record of proven and sustained outcomes.
  • Demonstrate leadership and management skills to provide direction in relation to technology, techniques, systems, practices and strategies to promote funding initiatives and manage complex projects across multiple sites and employment streams.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will provide authoritative contemporary specialist advice to the MHATODS Service Director and Leadership team in relation to optimising opportunities for Own Source Revenue and Activity Based Funding for the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service – Mental Health and ATOD Service (MHATODS).

About your role:

  • Highlight and investigate indicators of Activity Based Funding and cost variance to inform decision-making by MHATOD Service Leaders.
  • Lead MHATODS Activity Based Funding management development, ensuring the establishment and maintenance of practices which promote organisational accountability and transparency.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative units to ensure integrated understanding and approach to data analytics to deliver organisational outcomes.
  • Lead and support education and training across the MHATOD service on Activity Based Management models, with across organisational support and involvement.
