About you:

In your new role you will..

  • Demonstrate advanced level of knowledge, expertise and skill in complex contemporary clinical evidence-based physiotherapy practice, relating to the management of patients in a rural generalist setting.
  • Demonstrate highly developed interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills to interact effectively with and provide expert clinical advice to patients/clients and their families, multidisciplinary team members, stakeholders and professional/operational supervisors regarding client outcomes, service delivery and improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrate ability to practice contemporary leadership and management strategies to develop and deliver clinical services of a novel and complex nature, using evidence-based models.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will provide advanced level of clinical expertise and leadership in Physiotherapy and contribute to the professional development of physiotherapy colleagues regarding the assessment and management of patients across the rural Hospital and Health Service.

About your role:

  • Deliver advanced level Rural Generalist Physiotherapy clinical and consultancy services across the broad spectrum of presentations to the Hospital wards, Emergency Department and Physiotherapy outpatient service including musculoskeletal, cardio-respiratory, neurological, orthopaedics, paediatrics, geriatrics and women's health.
  • Provide active leadership to oversee and co-ordinate Cassowary physiotherapy clinical service delivery, including initiation, planning and evaluation of quality, safety and service improvement activities, to audit, monitor and improve physiotherapy service quality and patient outcomes.
  • Work cooperatively, effectively and assist the Team Leader Allied Health and the Physiotherapy Director to promote optimal service provision and outcomes including assisting and contributing to effective administration and management of resources.
  • Manage daily organisation of the workload of the Physiotherapy Services (including relevant physiotherapy and allied health assistant staff and students) in the most appropriate manner using planning, time management skills and prioritisation.
