The role:  
Reporting to the Program Director, we are looking for talented people who share our vision of delivering critical programs successfully in a way which inspires confidence, enhances transparency, and empowers teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead a team of project management resources in delivery key projects.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of complex and high-risk ICT infrastructure projects to ensure project outcomes are achieved and enterprise solutions are delivered.
  • Ensure project outcomes are achieved and project management capability is maintained within the Division.
  • Provide expert advice and strategic input into the development of project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Ensure projects are managed in accordance with best practice guidelines and Queensland Health's formal project management (PM) approach and methodologies.
  • Ensure internal and external stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee the monitoring and reporting of project related trends and performance against project plans and budgets.
  • Developing timely and relevant written submissions, briefs, presentations, and information papers for project stakeholders

The successful person:
To be successful in this role you must demonstrate excellence in program management with the proven ability to manage teams effectively to achieve successful project outcomes.

Fee for Service ICT Infrastructure and ICT Hardware Asset Refresh Projects. This role will often be required to negotiate and agree engagements with customers and deploy ICT Infrastructure and applications (including application integrations) to existing and new build health care facilities, managing the effective transition of ICT services while ensuring patient care is not disrupted. Demonstrated experience in the Wide Area Network, Local Area Network, Telecommunications, Unified Communications incl. Paging and Messaging, Cabling and Communications Rooms in association with building construction, will be highly regarded.

You will be experienced managing conflicting priorities across various stakeholders whilst delivering and tracking to agreed budgets and project plans. You will also be experienced in putting together strategies, frameworks, plans to enable informed decision making on project issues.

High Level knowledge and application of project management methodologies (Prince 2) is essential for your success in this role.
