The role  
Reporting to the Senior Director, Purchasing and Funding Branch, you will lead the continuous development of National and State Funding arrangements, ensuring compliance with the national health reform agreement (NHRA) in relation to the national cost data collection and the national activity submission. Your pivotal role involves leading the use of and further enhancement of the state-based clinical costing system, whilst orchestrating localizations in the state-based funding model to incentivise high value care. 

Additionally, you will drive enhancements in financial and clinical processes, advocating for Queensland's interests in national ABF discussions, operating as the key state contact to the Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority. You will act as a representative on the national funding model technical advisory committee driving various projects aimed at improving the quality of data submitted for funding purposes. You will establish robust protocols for data integrity assessment, provide expert guidance on ABF implications, and oversee the team to foster a culture of continual improvement and effective stakeholder engagement, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives.

The successful person
To excel in this position, you should possess experience working with funding arrangements in health, coupled with a detailed understanding of how activity data drives funding and pricing for health in accordance with the NHRA. You must exhibit exceptional leadership skills and be able to communicate clearly with stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds including data scientists, finance, health information management and clinical.
