The role 

As the Senior Departmental Liaison Officer you will undertake time critical special projects as directed by senior officers of the Office of the Director-General. You will be dealing with emergent and potentially contentious issues concerning health consumers, clinical practice, health service delivery and related issues. Finally, you will be facilitating the provision of concise and accurate information in situations requiring a rapid response.

The successful person

You will have demonstrated a strong ability to develop sensitive and practical responses to complex issues. You will have demonstrated a high level understanding of Queensland Health's operations, policies, services and structures to enable the rapid identification of areas within the organisation. Furthermore, you will have demonstrated the ability to provide advice to senior staff where issues of quality, timeliness, sensitivity and confidentiality are paramount.
