We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and forward-thinking recovery practitioner to work within our theatre team at the National Treatment Centre - Highland (NTC) . Recovery experienced is preferential but training could be provided if required.
The NTC-H is a new purpose-built centre which provides care for both Ophthalmology and Orthopaedic Patients. The Centre is located at the City's University Campus and has 5 theatres, a 24-bedded ward and dedicated Ophthalmology Outpatient Department.
The NTC-H performs 38 arthroplasty operations per week under both spinal and general anaesthetic. Hand, foot & ankle surgery is also performed two days per week under regional /general anaesthetic.
Ophthalmology procedures are performed daily, with general anaesthetic activity scheduled throughout the week offering a wide variety of surgery.
The postholder will also be involved in other areas of theatre, such as supporting the anaesthetic team and providing continuity of care for the patient. The successful applicant will form part of a dedicated team where continual personal and service development is encouraged.
