The Children’s Occupational Therapy service delivers care to children aged 0 - 19 years across Argyll and Bute.  This post offers an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team.  The post holder will provide Occupational Therapy to the children in the Helensburgh and Lomond area. Opportunities to travel across Argyll and Bute may also be available. 
   
The mixed caseload will offer the post holder the opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and experience   working with children with developmental delay, neurodevelopment presentation and complex physical disabilities. 
The post holder will be responsible for assessing, formulating and developing therapy packages that promote occupational performance and independence in the areas of activities of daily living, play, and education and participation e.g.  supporting children to be more independent in areas such as dressing, organising themselves, participating in PE, recording their school work.  
The post holder will work flexibly taking into consideration then needs of the family when delivering treatment sessions in homes, nurseries, schools, community venues and on-line.  We rely on close multi-disciplinary working with our colleagues in health, education and social work so the post holder will have excellent communication and team working skills. 
The post holder will demonstrate the confidence and resilience to work independently and as part of a team.  Professional supervision, training & development and CPD are offered.
