About us:

Located in the Aboriginal Community of Woorabinda, 175 km Southwest of Rockhampton, the Woorabinda Multi-Purpose Health Service, provides first line, health care for the people of Woorabinda and surrounding rural population. The 63 Medical, Nursing, Allied Health, Operational and Administrative staff provide care to the following:

  • 24-Hour Accident and Emergency
  • Hospital Inpatient
  • Residential Aged
  • Community Home Support Services
  • Community Maternal and Child Health Services
  • Community and Public Health Services (including school health services)
  • Community Alcohol and Drug and Mental Health Services
  • Community Chronic Disease Services (including Renal Dialysis)

About the role:

The Registered Nurse (Acute) is a Registered Nurse practicing autonomously within a multidisciplinary team, primarily in the Woorabinda Hospital providing direct nursing care in emergency, general-inpatient and outpatient care and residential care to clients of this predominately indigenous, rural/remote health care setting.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate.

  • Clinical knowledge and skills relevant to Rural and Remote nursing practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the nursing assessment and care of individuals and groups in the Rural and Remote/MPHS setting.
  • Ability to participate in own professional development and contribute where applicable to the development of others utilising contemporary practice in the delivery of improved standards of care and to undertake a portfolio of responsibility.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $117,580 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary between $40.51 - $51.97 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
