The role:  
Supporting a Principal Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing critical support day to day project management functions to assist in the successful delivery of cyber security projects. You will assist in managing the reporting, finance, administration and documentation to enable successful completion of medium to large scale projects in line with Queensland Health project management methodologies.

In addition to this, you will be responsible for:

  • Promote and ensure use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools, including benefits realisation and risk and issue management, to ensure quality project outcomes are delivered.
  • Manage, monitor and report on project related trends and performance against project plans and schedules.
  • Manage and monitor resources, expenses and capital costs against the project forecasts.
  • Initiate, influence and maintain relationships with and between key internal and external stakeholders, facilitate effective communication channels to promote the successful adoption of change within the business, and foster relationships through lessons learned, feedback mechanisms and management of expectations.

Are you right for this role?
To be successful in the role, you will have proven experience in a medium scale IM/ICT project management environment, preferably in the health care industry (SFIA Skill: PRMG: Level 5) and proven ability to develop and manage one or more defined communication channels and/or stakeholder groups, and facilitate the business change decision-making processes, and the planning and implementation of change. (SFIA Skill: RLMT: Level 5).

Furthermore, you will have an understanding of appropriate project management methodologies (preferably PRINCE2), and an ability to promote and provide advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools (SFIA Skill: METL: Level 5) and proven effective negotiation, consultation, facilitation, written and oral communication skills for use in a complex project environment. (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing).
