The role  
Reporting to the Manager, System Performance Insights, you will provide authoritative advice to senior management through various communication channels, including correspondence, briefings, reports, and online website content development. 

Leveraging your expertise in healthcare data, you will offer specialist guidance on data collection, interpretation, and presentation techniques, employing project management methodologies to drive efficient processes.

Furthermore, you will take the lead in reviewing and developing clinically relevant and robust patient safety and quality indicators, collaborating closely with state-wide Subject Matter Experts, clinicians, data analysts, consumers, and departmental staff. Additionally, you will provide vital support to Department of Health and Hospital and Health Service staff involved in service improvement projects. This may encompass various facets such as process redesign, innovation, change management, and offering training and coaching where required.

The successful person
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated ability to analyse data to inform authoritative written advice to senior management on a range of complex issues and ability to prepare complex submissions, briefings and reports. You will also have demonstrated high level ability to conceptualise, develop, communicate and evaluate new, innovative and creative approaches to address complex organisational issues in a clinical environment with respect to data information systems and measurement programs and initiatives.

In addition to this, you will have demonstrated high level ability in the management of large-scale complex projects through all phases of the project life cycle applying project management and change management methodologies, and highly effective people skills, including demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate clinical working groups to develop clinical indicators; consult and communicate with staff at all levels and proven ability in negotiation and influencing.

As part of the commissioning role, the Division has responsibility for investing $18 billion on behalf of the State and managing community services contracts to the value of approximately $280 million.
