The Location:
The hospital is located on an idyllic part of the Queensland coast. With over 300 days of sunshine each year there is an abundance of outdoor activities. Popular attractions include Riverbank Parklands, a riverfront parkland attraction, the coastal strip and large neighbouring islands, the vast majority of which is national park.

The Facility:
With a local population of around 100,000 and drainage population of almost double this is a busy facility. This is 260 bed major regional hospital. Having state of the art facilities the hospital has been undergoing a number of redevelopment projects at a cost of $324 million the last of which are due to be completed later this year. The projects have included the construction of a regional cancer centre, a new Emergency Department, Rehabilitation Unit, Maternity and Paediatrics Unit, Dialysis Unit, and a Learning and Development Centre, together with the consolidation of a number of outlying services into the main Hospital complex.

The Role:
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Consultant Rehabilitation to join their team. You will be responsible for assisting the Director in provision of high-quality clinical services as part of the Department of Medicine, education of Medical Staff and Students, Allied Health, interested Community Groups and Nursing Staff, and active participation in patient safety, audit, research, and service planning activities.

This is a part-time 0.5 FTE opportunity.

Requirements:
