Role:
Join us in a full-time Public Appointment as a Consultant Psychiatrist, specializing in General Adult Psychiatry. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to broaden your network and utilize quality facilities and resources. Make a difference by contributing to our Psychiatry Emergency Service, where you'll be responsible for conducting acute assessments, providing physical and psychiatric investigations, and offering patient treatments. Additionally, participate in video conference emergency assessments for the region, engaging with patients who self-present or are referred from major hospitals.

Our facility is part of a leading mental health service, catering to individuals with acute mental illnesses. The Psychiatry Emergency Service includes an acute assessment office, inpatient care with short-stay beds, and a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit, ensuring comprehensive and specialized care for our patients.

Requirements:
To be eligible for this role, candidates must hold Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP). International Medical Graduates assessed as Substantially Comparable by RANZCP, as well as holders of NZ FRANZCP or NZ SMO/Consultants willing to undergo RANZCP assessment, are encouraged to apply.
