About the role

The Technology Officer, ICT Service Delivery, provides experienced technical support and timely problem resolution to maintain local information systems, hardware and infrastructure.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Technical Knowledge - Demonstrated skill and ability in providing local Information & Communication Technology (ICT) support to digital hospital devices, desktop technologies and system administration.
  • Customer Focus - Remains accessible to customers and uses strong communication skills to understand customers' needs and deliver an organised service that meets their expectations.
  • Continuous Learning - self-motivated and proactive about own continuous learning, developing and participating in internal and external training and networks and applying knowledge to local ICT within the workplace.
  • Problem Solving - Uses good analytical skills, strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to achieve outcomes for local ICT with an awareness of Queensland Health and district strategic direction.
  • Work Values - Demonstrates honesty, integrity and respect for all patients, carers and staff. Demonstrated ability to actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviour.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16(PDF) ( https://www.health.qld.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0009/150120/hed-0116.pdf )
  • Participation in an on-call arrangements is a requirement of this role.
