The establishment of the Central Queensland and Wide Bay Regional Medical Pathway (the Pathway) is an exciting program of work which is pivotal in addressing the challenges experienced by the Central Queensland and Wide Bay communities because of the medical workforce shortages of Medical Officers.

About the role:

The Medical Education and Wellbeing Registrar/Principal House Officer works collaboratively as a member of the RMP project team.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have MBBS or equivalent and General Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). 

  • Clinical experience as a registered medical practitioner in the Australian Healthcare setting.
  • Ability to plan and support the integration of the Regional Medical Pathway students/candidates including legislation, pathways, and accreditation for trainee doctors in line with best practice principles.
  • Demonstrated sound judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional education and development, including maintenance of professional knowledge.
  • Demonstrated willingness to teach others, including interns, trainee medical officers and medical students.

What we offer:

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $145,865 p.a. (L9); $160,859 p.a. (L7); $146,469 p.a. (L4) is comprised of:

  • A salary between $125,808 - $145,865 p.a.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
