About us:

The Biloela Hospital is a 20-bed facility providing medical, surgical, paediatric, maternity, accident and emergency, palliative care, radiography, and pharmacy, including allied health services of speech therapy, occupational therapy, social work, physiotherapy, and dietician.

Biloela Hospital also has specialist visiting services such as general surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, ultrasound, dental, mental health, drug and alcohol, paediatrics, hearing and podiatry and women's health clinics every second month.

About the role:

The Cancer Care Clinical Nurse will support and provide networked cancer services between rural and specialist oncology services. Care planning for cancer care within our rural communities ensures access to planned and effective systems that provide safe and predictable services at a local centre.

A Nurse Grade 6.1 is a Registered Nurse (RN) who:

  1. Provides nursing services in health service settings; and
  2. Is responsible for a portfolio with a focus on clinical care/leadership, management, education and/or research.

The activities required of roles at this level are predominantly clinical in nature, but also provide support to a Nurse Grade 7 or above in management activities.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years' experience.
  • Continued training as recommended by the Queensland Remote Chemotherapy Supervision (QReCS) guide including yearly two-day visits to Rockhampton Hospital Day Therapy Unit (DTU) for upskilling of trained staff and two weeks working in Rockhampton Hospital DTU for newly trained staff.

Total remuneration value of up to $51,222 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary between $52.86 - $56.60 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
