RN - MEDICAL SURGICAL - Join our Medical Surgical team  Rural nursing at its finest! We are a 17 bed, Trauma Level IV Critical Access hospital serving SE Utah, located in the rural destination town of Moab. You are excited to perform a wide range of general nursing duties, providing direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical department, from post-partum neonates to geriatrics. Specific areas of responsibility will include medical, surgical, high acuity, rehabilitative, skilled, and pediatric. Due to the rural location of MRH, this is a great opportunity for a nurse looking to expand their skill sets, given the variety of patient needs, ages, and acuities. There are also opportunities to expand into post-partum care and infusion and wound therapies as well as cross-train in the Emergency Department and/or PACU. This is a non-exempt, full-time, benefitted position. Anticipated schedule: 6x12-hour shifts or 7 days on/7 days off per bi-weekly pay period, shift changes 0600 and 1800.Starting pay range: $31 39.68/hour, DOE. Minimum requirements:Current, unencumbered Utah or compact state RN license.Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.1-2 years medical/surgical experience, preferred.Current BLS certification; current ACLS and PALS certifications or ability to obtain within one year of hire.Must be willing to earn NRP certification and provide patient care appropriate to certification within one year of hire.Knowledge of infection control principles, patient safety techniques, and prevention of adverse reactions to medications/treatments.Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to maintain same in situations with rapidly changing circumstances.Self-motivated and able to work successfully both independently and as part of a team.Great customer service and communication skills, including oral, written, and listening skills.Able to receive and manage sensitive information professionally and maintain confidentiality at all times.Able to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally; emotionally mature.Reliable and timely with work schedule.Flexibility and willingness to accept other duties as assigned.We offer:Wide range of benefits, including insurance, retirement, and paid time offCollaborative and supportive workplaceProfessional growth opportunities including continuing education, trainings, and more!Spectacular Location: Each MRH employee calls Moab their home for a variety of reasons: they were born and raised here in Moab or the greater SE Utah; they have moved here after falling in love with the towns tight-knit community; most are drawn here by some of the most stunning red rock landscapes on Earth.
