Job Description

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Keep up to date with new regulation, standards, policies and procedures.
  • Conduct detailed and systematic safety & risk assessments, follow-ups and report deficiencies with regard to all types of hazards.
  • Conduct daily weekly, monthly, quarterly, biannually and annual safety rounds as per schedule.
  • Prepare reports and action plan against all schedule rounds and immediately report to your supervisor
  • Carry out risk assessment and conducts accident investigations. Produce factual safety & risk reports of unsafe activity conditions found, any unsafe activates, conditions or work practices recognized, any faults witnessed or potential hazards, supported by recommendations on how to take corrective / preventive action.
  • Stop any work that is deemed to be unsafe or to pose a risk to the health and safety of employees, patients, visitors, contractor and/or members of the public until the necessary safety standards are complied with.
  • Carry out follow-up inspection against action plan to ensure remedial work has been completed and that reported safety issues have been rectified.
  • Carry out weekly group construction safety round, Preconstruction Safety Risk Assessment and daily construction round on all constructions, renovation and alteration works in MNGHA facilities to ensure that safety is not compromised and that standards are maintained or improved. Ensure that all staff, contractor and subcontractor follow the Contractor Safety Guidelines and adhere to safety standards.
  • Monitor and inspect contractors working in MNGHA to ensure their practices comply with MNGHA safety standards. Provide training with regard to health and safety i.e., risk assessments, accident investigation, policies and procedures, etc.
  • Ensure that all departments comply with MNGHA standards with regard to safety. Prepare and submit monthly activity reports.
  • Perform other job related duties.

  • Time Management
  • Keep updated on information regarding Facilities’ Management Safety in Healthcare.
  • Basic knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA),National Fire Protection Association (NFPA),
  • Understanding of NEBOSH, JCI and CBAHI.
  • Frequent contact with technical/clinical teams and contractors
  • Evaluate the existing and new construction or renovation locations
  • Coverage during emergencies, disasters, other unplanned unprecedented
  • Occasions Occasional overtime, weekend, holidays work might be required
  • Safe Practices related to PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
  • Operating in safe manner to reduce risk of injuries

Education | Bachelor Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Sciences/Management or related discipline from an accredited institution – Essential; or
Bachelor Degree in any discipline with Diploma or recognized certificate in Occupational Safety, Environmental Management or equivalent – Essential

Work Experience: SCDP - Saudi Career development (Training program) 

Valid Saudi Driving License – Essential

English Language :  Level – I – Essential
