MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides orthodontics treatments but not limited to the following, for healthy and medically compromised patients, based on the approved privileges.
  a. Evaluates malocclusion cases.
  b. Performs orthodontic evaluation and treatment planning.
  c. Performs removal of appliances and decision on type of retention appliance.
  d. Performs fabrication of retention appliances.
  e. Performs orthodontic preparation of orthodontic surgical cases.
  f. Performs fabrication of cleft palate appliances when needed.
  g. Performs treatment of cleft palate patients.
• Provides consultation as required
• Provide other mode of treatment in various dental disciplines, based on the approved privileges.
• Effectively communicate with other divisional and auxiliary staff members
• Provide administrative services within the department as required
• Perform other job related duties as directed by the Chairman and Deputy Chairmen of Dental Services-KAMC
• Educational and Research
  a. Participate in research as required.
  b. Participate as clinical and didactic instructor in Orthodontics in all training programs as required.
  c. Assumes responsibility for own professional growth

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: PhD in or Board Cectiticate in Orthodontics or related discipline/area from an accredited institution - Essential
Bachelor Degree Dental Surgery or equivalent from an accredited institution - Essential
Must have a valid registration as Specialist in SCFHS.

Work Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience in a recognized institution or equivalent-Preferred

English Language: Level — l — Essentia

Arabic Language: Preferred

Computer: Level — l — Preferred
