The Perioperative and Ambulatory Care Services at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Director Support Officer (Surgical) to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity

  • Manage and coordinate all non-clinical operating functions of the relevant Clinical Practice to ensure the smooth and efficient service delivery of quality service within the Mackay HHS.
  • Provides high level and confidential secretarial and administrative support to ensure Clinical Director and Medical Team deliver on delegated accountabilities within a demanding operating environment.
  • This position reports directly to the Business Services Manager/Clinical Director.
  • This position has a direct/indirect relationship with:
    • Clinical Director, Operations Director, Medical Officers and medical staff throughout the Mackay Hospital and Health Service.
    • Business Services Manager and support staff across Queensland Health.
    • Range of relevant external stakeholders e.g. Police, Ambulance, Emergency Services, private GPs, Medical Specialists, Department of Health, Community, Patient Complaints, Suppliers etc.
