The Nursing Services (Rural) Team at the Proserpine Hospital are seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse (Theatre) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

The Clinical Nurse (CN) provides nursing services within the health service settings; and is responsible for a portfolio with a focus on clinical care/leadership, management, education and/or research.  The activities are predominantly clinical in nature, but also provide support to a Nurse Grade 7 or above in management activities. The CN provides advanced level clinical skills to ensure patient-focused evidence-based nursing care, plans and coordinates the clinical management of patient/client care and provides leadership and support to other nursing staff within Surgical Services (including Theatres & Speciality Outpatients) of Proserpine Hospital.

About the Team

The Whitsunday Health Service is made up of two facilities, The Community Health Campus – Cannonvale and the Hospital Campus – Proserpine.  The hospital is a 35 bed acute hospital which offers a number of specialty inpatient and outpatient services.  The Community Health Campus offers a range of community health services provided by a multi-disciplinary team.  The Whitsunday Heath Service covers the Whitsunday Regional Shire, Midge Point and Bloomsbury.
