Position; As a senior member of the paediatric team, you will provide clinical expertise including oversight and management of children in the ED, inpatients, neonatal nursery and outpatients, and community consultations. You will oversee the Child Development Unit and mandated child protection responsibilities. As part of your role, you will supervise the clinical practice of General Practice paediatricians and junior medical staff, as well as undertaking active engagement in the education of all health staff affiliated with the service. Location: Situated in one of Australia's biggest cities, this location has an abundance of offerings! It serves as an excellent starting point to discover the myriad treasures of the surrounding area. Hospital: As the biggest hospital in rural South Australia, it extends its services to over 94,000 individuals, and another 175,000 people annually at country emergency departments. A teaching hospital with a 24-hour accident and emergency department, the facility houses four operating theatres and day surgery chairs. The network is vast, incorporating 65 hospitals and 240 health services sites, employing around 7,925 people. The service is crucial in providing treatment for country people closer to home, and as such, has been identified in the Government's 'Plan for Country Health' as one of the four general hospitals dedicated to this cause. Must hold Specialist Ahpra Registration
Must hold the FRACP qualification
