We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Nutrition Services department.

Provides dietetic services to inpatients, and residents of Fort St. John Hospital and Peace Villa collaborates with inter-disciplinary team members, and other health care professionals/providers to achieve excellence in nutritional health services and education. Maintains standards of dietetic practice. Performs administrative duties as assigned.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days - 07:30 to 15:30

Fort St. John Hospital and Health Centre is a 46-bed hospital with 115 residential care beds in the adjoining Peace Villa Care Home. They have two state of the art operating rooms, ambulatory clinics including cancer care and hemodialysis, emergency and ICU, a birthing centre with single maternity rooms for labour, delivery, and post-partum.

Fort St. John is located above the Peace River Valley, and has a diverse population of 21,000 (2021) and serves an area of approximately 69,000. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Dietetics plus one year’s internship at an accredited institute.
• Membership in the College of Dietitians of British Columbia. Reserved Acts A and B
• Eligibility for membership in the Dietitians of Canada. Two (2) years experience.

Skills and Abilities:
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Work effectively in a team situation.
• Demonstrated ability to instruct clients, families, and other health care professionals.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to problem solve, assess, and make decisions.
• Ability to operate computer and knowledge of software programs.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
