Position Summary

Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital.

The Patient Care Coordinator facilitates the admission, discharge, and patient transfer processes, and is responsible for coordinating patient/resident care when necessary. The role promotes the efficient allocation and utilization of beds to determine patient placement and support patients receiving quality care. The Patient Care Coordinator assists the Program Managers in establishing and maintaining standards of patient care and is responsible for coordinating the operations of the hospital in the absence of managers, department heads and senior administrative personnel.

Prince Rupert Regional Hospital is the largest hospital in northwest BC with 27 acute care beds. They offer emergency services, ultrasound, CT scans, surgery, extended care, pediatrics, radiology, and obstetrics. Additional services such as diabetes education, health heart and rehabilitation, podiatry, orthopedics and other visiting specialists.

Qualifications

• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
• Five years recent acute care experience with one years’ supervisory experience or the equivalent combination of training and experience.

• Ability to operate related equipment including computer software applications.
