Position Summary

Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at New Nechako Centre.

Under the direction and supervision of the Team Leader of the Youth Treatment Center, as part of the multidisciplinary team, the Staff Nurse works with persons admitted to the Youth Treatment Center. Through assessment and monitoring of each client, the nurse develops a plan of personal care and intervention to assist the client in managing the medical and emotional symptoms of substance abuse withdrawal and mental health issues. Thereby the client can return to the community, and connect with appropriate follow up services.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Rotating Days; 07:00 to 19:00

New Wage: As of April 1, 2023 the new wage is: $40.21 - $57.78/hour

Qualifications

• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN registrant.
• Two years experience in Mental Health and Addictions.
• CPR and Foodsafe Certification.

• Ability to operate related equipment.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
