Ready to use your skills to empower residents and grow your career?Sigma Health Rehab is Looking for a full-time/part-time talented Respiratory Therapist (RT) To work in a Skilled Nursing facility (SNF).The ideal Candidate should have a passion for working with the geriatric population, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and possess the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents in improving their experiences.Respiratory Therapist (RT) Responsibilities include:Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non-respiratory illness.Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.Complete a variety of bedside treatments.Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarterResponsible for completing daily, weekly, and monthly documentation.Attend applicable IDT meetings.Experience with tracheotomyExperience is a long-term care setting.Follow the facility's procedure and protocol.Completes tracking, auditing, and caseload management.Performs related duties as required.Described in the Departmental Policy and Procedure Manual in these areas of skilled interventions:Oxygen weaning therapy.Omniflow – BiofeedbackGroup respiratory therapyStandardized respiratory testing.Aerosol therapyIPPB therapyIncentive SpirometryChest physiotherapyDeep breathing and coughingBronchial hygiene therapyPEP therapyPostal DrainagePositioningOro/Naso-pharyngeal suctioningAirway clearance/management techniquesTrachea-bronchial suctioningTracheostomy careSpirometry Bedside TestingCPAP/BIPAPHigh-Flow OxygenCardiac ProgramPulmonary ProgramCardio-pulmonary resuscitationRespiratory Therapist (RT) QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.
