At Sinai Health, we care, create possibilities and offer hope. We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to support our Main Operating Room team at Mount Sinai Hospital. 

This unit does approximately 9,000 cases per year in their 11 rooms. Specialties utilizing the Main Operating Room/Cysto are General Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, Otolaryngology, Lasers, Ophthalmology, Oral Surgery and Orthopaedics - both Reconstructive and Sarcoma. The Main Operating Room has 3 "state of the art" MIS suites. Many of the Registered Nurses working in our Main Operating Room have registered certification in perioperative nursing CPN(C) with the Canadian Nurses’ Association.

Job Requirements

• Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
•  5 years’ experience in the Perioperative setting (preferred)
• Current BCLS
• Successful completion of a post graduate Perioperative Nursing Certificate program (preferred), or, commitment to complete certificate within 3 years from hire date
• BScN (preferred)
• Commitment to professional practice and personal development
• Commitment to shared leadership and team based decision making
• Demonstrated excellent critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to patient and family centred care
• Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
